separate beds

there is a new study out claiming that 25% of couples sleep either in separate beds, or separate rooms. sleep is pretty important, so i understand why couples would want take extra steps to ensure that they get a comfy 8 hours. however, i've only recently arrived at this conclusion. i used to get offended when i would hear this comment, but now that i'm a worker bee, i totally get it.

pool party

a company called + Pool has come up with a brilliant idea of creating floating pools in nyc's east river. as you can see, pod contains four pools used for kids, swim meets, free swim, and whatever else you can think of. the company says the walls of the pools would actually be filtration systems that would use the water in the river, filter it, and use it to fill the pools. if they can make that dirty water turn clear, i'd be down for trying it out.

our bff lindsay headed to jail this morning for a 90 day sentence. of course, she is expected to serve 12-14 days maximum. i guess that means any hope for Mean Girls 2 is dashed until LiLo gets out of the clink.

texas birthday celebration

my sweet, sweet family had a birthday dinner tonight for everyone who has july birthdays--even me! it's so nice of them to include me in their party, even though i'm 2,000 miles away.

tlc did it again

tlc is notorious for coming up with ridiculous shows about being preggers: i didn't know i was pregnant (still not sure how that's possible), pregnant & paralyzed and the latest gem, pregnant and ...

the latest show features people who are preggers in weird situations. i had the pleasure of catching the 55 & preggers edition. holy hell.

the scarier thing is that they want to have another one next year!

speaking of babies, baby blakely is due any day now. i can't believe it's already time! preggo meggo is looking pretty good, especially in that super cute dress.

a federal appeals court just struck down the FCC's ridiculous rule on cussing out loud saying it's "incredibly vague."

i'm pretty sure this ruling just made "it's always sunny in killadelphia," that much awesomer. cuss yeah!

tonight is the series finale of The Hills. i've been watching since the very beginning and i can't wait to see LC on the after-show. i guess after 12am, the hills will be officially dead. sad.
